Cañar
After crossing the famous Lanjarón and Órgiva, stands the small and genuine Cañar, between the Barranco de las Parrillas and the Barranco de Río Chico. From whitewashed houses, steep and narrow streets and small squares with fruit trees and honeysuckles, the town of Canar has a privileged location.
Its old church of Santa Ana has suffered the vicissitudes of history, since it was burned during the Moorish rebellion and rebuilt at the end of the 16th century. In the 19th century an interesting rope watch was added. Although one of the greatest charms of this balcony of the Alpujarra is its incredible location, so it is considered as Mirador de Miradores. Cañar enjoys a privileged environment because almost all its term is within the National Park.
